Objectives
Course is an important part of the basic studies related to Nursing.
As a participant of this course, you will concern yourself to the Anatomy and Physiology of a healthy human body. When you have passed this course, you`ll understand how the healthy human body behaves during different situations in life and you will be equipped with tools that you will need in the later phases of your studies as well as in the working life.
Learning outcomes:
You are able to define the structures and functions of the important organs, maintenance and control systems of the human body.
You are able to explain the capacities of the cardiovascular-, respiratory-, urinary and endocrine systems.
You understand the role of the lymphatic and sensory systems as well as humoral regulation of human metabolism and sensory systems and tissue repair.

Cytology; Structure and functions of the cells.
Histology; Structure, location and function of tissues
Support and locomotive system; skeletal structure, joints and peripheral muscles. Cardiovascular system: blood, heart, blood vessels, blood pressure, EKG and control mechanisms of the cardiovascular system
Respiratory system: airways, lungs, gas exchange, respiratory volumes and control mechanisms of the respiratory system
Digestive system; digestive tract, digestive organs, absorption of nutrients and control mechanisms of the digestive system.
Urinary system; structure and function of the Kidneys, urinary tract, urine formation and control mechanisms of the urinary system.
In addition, the contents include the nervous-, endocrine-, lymphatic and sensory systems connected with the regulation of vital functions.
Senses; vision and eye, auditory + balance and ear, olfactory and nose.
Tissue repair.
