The object of the course:
Upon completion of this course you have an understanding of current topics in international sport management field.

The learning objectives of the course:
In this course you will familiarize yourself with essential questions in international sport development. You gain insights into different areas of topical themes in sport business management. You understand the basic concepts of sport development in global context.

Content

The course content is tailored depending on the current topics of the sport management field and participating universities’ present research projects. You will solve real life problems related to given cases during the online part and as a final assignment. Lecturers in this course come from different countries around the world, and will surely give you interesting insights in sport business development.

Location and time

Online from Mid-September to November, seminar week at the end of November or beginning of December in one of the participating countries.

Teaching methods

Hybrid on-campus and online course together with partner universities from State University of New York, Cortland, USA, Bilgi Istanbul, Turkey and Lithuanian Sport University, Kaunas, Lithuania.
Combined face-to-face and distance learning.
Lectures, sport marketing and management research case studies, assignments, one week international seminar in one of the participating countries.

No exam, no retake.

International connections

Guest lectures from Sport Business by JAMK network from all over the world.
One week international seminar at the end of the course in one of the participating countries.
Working in international students groups from different universities.

Further information

The course is available only for students in sport business specialization. This course includes a seminar week trip at the end of the semester, so you need to be prepared to cover some costs of this trip yourself.
