Objectives

The student understands the company as a work community, is able to act as its member, work in networks and creates work community connections. The student knows the stages of the job search process and can benefit work experience in carrier and study planning. The student knows the tools, methods, equipments and in the field of the degree programme. The student understands the significance of theory in practical tasks and master oral and written reporting.

EA-ER EUR-ACE Engineering practice: The ability to select and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods. The ability to combine theory and practice to solve engineering problems. An understanding of applicable techniques and methods and of their limitations.

EA-TR EUR-ACE Transferable skills: Demonstrate an awareness of the health, safety and legal issues and responsibilities of engineering practice, understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal and environmental context, and commit themselves to the professional ethics, responsibilities and norms of engineering practice. Recognise the need for and have the ability to engage in independent, life-long learning.

YHTOP Learning skills: Are able to acquire, process and evaluate their own field data, theories, concepts, methods and principles critically. Are able to take responsibility for the group’s learning and sharing the knowledge.

YHTTY Working life skills: Have the ability to work as a member of a study group or workgroup or in some other form of community and contribute to the wellbeing of the group. Are able to manage professional activities, decision-making, and work independently in their expert tasks. Are able to comply with employment practices and the activities of sustainable development, and act according to the principles of professional ethics.

YHTVI Communication skills: Are able to communicate well, both orally and in writing in their mother tongue. Know how to use information and communications technology in their assignments. Are able to consider various factors in their work and can work in networks.
