Objective

Purpose
After completing this course, you will master the essential clinical interventions of acute and perioperative nursing care, taking patient safety into account.

You know how to perform client centered patient evidence based counselling at different stages of the care path
You are able to observe patients and implement patient-centered nursing interventions at different stages of the care path in collaboration with the patient, their families and other health professionals in a culturally sensitive manner
You master the drug calculations needed to administer medication

Content

Pre- intra- and postoperative counseling and nursing care, patient's intensive observation, triage, nursing care of acute patient, nutrition-, fluid- and drug therapy for a surgical patient, documentation of care
