Opintojakso sisältää yhden laajan ryhmätyön, jonka työstäminen aloitetaan syyskuussa ja se palautetaan marraskuun alkupuolella. Ryhmätöiden esitykset pidetään alustavan aikataulun mukaan marras-joulukuussa. Viikottain pidettävät kontaktitunnit perustuvat käänteinen luokkahuone -menetelmään eli opiskelijoiden tulee perehtyä ennakkomateriaaleihin ennen niitä. Opintojakso sisältää lisäksi henkilökohtaisen oppimistehtävän tai tentin.

You are familiar with the factors that affect organisational performance. You understand performance management as a whole. You are familiar with the most common methods used in performance measurement. You are familiar with the key principles of quality management.

Satisfactory 2
You are familiar with the factors that affect organisational performance and understand their significance to practical leadership. You understand performance management as a whole. You understand the significance of metrics in performance management. You understand the significance and principles of quality management and their impact on organisational performance.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good 3
You are familiar with the theories and factors related to performance management and understand their connection to your own work. You are able to utilise analysed data and substantiate your action proposals related to development. You are able to analyse and assess a company’s performance, operating processes, and measurement methods on a superficial basis.

Very good 4
You understand and are able to assess theories, elements and methods related to the organisational performance and substantiate their use as a tool for developing business processes. You are able to apply your theory-level understanding on a practical level. You are able to utilise well-researched knowledge in development work and are able to analyse the factors related to organisational performance.

Excellent 5
You are able to critically utilise theories and models related to the subject area in performance management. You are able to analyse and develop business operations in a financially profitable manner using different types of measurement methods. You are able to choose suitable metrics for different performance analysis situations and substantiate your choice.
