Purpose of the course

After studying this course, you will get an idea of how the general energy change and the transition to a more flexible digital energy system affect rural businesses and residents. You will learn how to evaluate renewable energy production and use of energy, factors affecting energy efficiency and environmental impacts.

After studying this course, you will identify factors that affect changes in energy production and use in rural areas. You will be able to evaluate energy raw materials, renewable energy sources and energy applications, factors affecting energy efficiency and environmental impacts.

The study material will be searched for according to one's chosen priorities through literature research.

Teaching methods

Moodle as a learning platform.
Guided and timed individual task - writing an essay. Independent work, which is supported and guided by the learning platform's recordings and step-by-step instructions.
