Objective
The student masters the modelling and assemblies of welded steel structures as well as the creation of detail drawings and cutting lists. The student is able to model steel structures and attach parts together using welded seams and screw joints. Determining the duration of stress using the finite element method (FEM).
EA-EE: EUR-ACE Engineering design / TKNSU: Competence in design:
The student is able to model the steel structures of their choice in 3D by using the skeleton technique as well as produce unambiguous assembly and parts images for them. The student is also able to produce the necessary parts lists for purchasing and determine whether a more detailed calculation using FEM is needed.
YHTVI: Communication skills: Students are able to attach drawings and technical documents to their assignments and theses.
Content
Skeleton modelling and the related parameters. The structure of the model and the use of a testing schematic as an aid. Drawing and assembly hierarchy. Creating drawings based on models and transferring models from one system to another. Elementary calculations using FEM.
