Objective

You are able to use the methods of physical therapy, drawing upon their physical and therapeutic effects as part of overall rehabilitation. You are able to utilise technology in the assessments of the client’s mobility and functionality, in rehabilitation and guidance and counselling, and in physical therapy. You are able to utilise virtual environments and robotics to support mobility, functionality and physical activity. You are able to utilise assistive technology to support the physical activity and functionality of clients.

Content

Deepening understanding of different technological devices affecting functionality and participation and the future potential thereof.
Suitability and accessibility of the environment and services to clients, and ways of affecting them.
Utilising basic physical therapy methods, meaning heat therapy, ultrasound, shockwave therapy and electrotherapy, as part of overall rehabilitation.

You operate constructively in a team. Your knowledge consists of isolated, although relevant, details. You display uncertainty in client work and the utilisation of electrotherapy and shortcomings in regard to ergonomics; you have difficulties with drawing conclusions. You take safety into consideration. You evaluate yourself and your fellow students. You have completed the agreed-upon assignments. Your assignments only show few connections between the matters presented; reflection remains minimal. However, literature in the field has been summarised and references have been marked.

Satisfactory (2):
You operate constructively in a team. Your knowledge consists of isolated, although relevant, details. You display uncertainty in client work and the use of different forms of electrotherapy as well as shortcomings in regard to ergonomics; you have difficulties drawing conclusions. You take safety into consideration. You evaluate yourself and your fellow students. You have completed the agreed-upon assignments. You approach to client work is fluent, your conclusions are correct, and you take ergonomics and safety into account in your activities. You strive for a constructive approach. You are capable of self-assessment and peer review. In your written assignments, you demonstrates an ability to describe and substantiate various subject area phenomena by making varied and proper use of evidence-based sources.
Very good (4):
You possess extensive knowledge of and skills in wellness technology, the utilisation thereof and different forms of electrotherapy. You substantiate your actions, seek to create new solutions and operate constructively in a team. Your performance in regard to the different aspects of client work is very good and your conclusions are substantiated. You pay attention to your own and your clients’ ergonomics and safety. You have a constructive attitude and are capable of taking the applicability of different technological solutions into account in your assessments. You are capable of constructive self-assessment and peer review. In your written assignments, you demonstrates an ability to describe and substantiate various subject area phenomena in a critical manner by way of personal reflection and by making varied and proper use of evidence-based sources.

You take your own your clients’ ergonomics and safety into account. You have a constructive attitude but are capable of critically assessing the applicability of different technological solutions. You are capable of constructive self-assessment and peer review. In your written assignments, you demonstrate an ability to describe and substantiate various subject area phenomena in a critical manner by way of personal reflection and by making varied and proper use of evidence-based sources.

Qualifications

Understanding and basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, wellness technology and the use of aids as part of rehabilitation in maintaining / strengthening clients' functionality.
