Häkkinen, V-M. 2020. Logical Controls. Course Material. JAMK University of Applied Sciences, School of Technology.
Teaching methods
Working with automation equipment is inherently problem-oriented and is therefore also used as a learning method. Specifically, it takes place through contact hours, laboratory work, returnable exercises, and independent work.
Exam schedules
The near exam is at the time announced in Moodle. The exam can be renewed twice.
International connections
The course may have exchange students.
Student workload
Lectures 20 h, Tutorial lessons 20 h, programming and laboratory work 25 h, independent work 70 h, a total of 135 hours of learning work.
Content scheduling
The themes presented in the weekly two-hour lecture are practiced independently and their challenges are addressed in Tutorial classes as needed. Laboratory work is done independently at a free pace in the laboratory. Laboratory work can be performed once its preliminary task has been successfully completed.
Further information
Self-assessments are mainly done through learning assignments and laboratory work. The assessment decision is based 100% on the competence shown in the exam. In addition, the evaluation decision evaluates the performance of the laboratories and the assignment as a factor of 0 or 1.
Evaluation scale
0-5
