Content scheduling

The course is based on weekly tasks during 7 weeks.

Meetings are 6 x 2 h weekly, after 4 pm. Dates will inform after 8.8.2023. Meetings are in groups, where are 10 attendees. One group is web-based group. Another group will be contact group in Jyväskylä if it is needed.

Objective

Student is aware of factors which influence on wellbeing and self-knoowledge. Student is aware of ways how to cope with problems concerning studies. Student finds ways to cope with stress, anxiety and mood related challenges.

Teaching methods

The course is based on students compassion mentoring program. Student attends group meetings weekly and makes practices on his/her own and reflects themes independently.

Student workload

Active participation in compassion mentoring group and independent tasks weekly. Diary and reflection.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass: Active participation to wellbeing program and meetings with wellbeing-counsellor or personal monitoring

Fail: Student doesn´t participate actively to wellbeing program/ group

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

pass: You are able to apply the Compass - or other well-being program or Compassion Mentoring group principles in strengthening your own well-being, as well as to utilize the counseling process during the course. You are aware of factors that affect your own well-being and you know how to prevent stress, anxiety and mood related challenges.
