In this course you will learn the basics of vaccination competence.

After completing this course, you understand the importance of vaccination and the ethical principles of the individual, the community and society.
You understand the importance of vaccination worldwide as a health-promoting activity.
You will have the capacity for evidence-based guidance and counseling on vaccinations.
You are be familiar with the vaccine preventable diseases, the national vaccination program and the adverse effects of vaccinations.
You can aseptically and safely vaccinate under supervision

Effectiveness of vaccinations

Location and time
The course is conducted in Moodle and is part of a nationwide training program.
The course has four compulsory lectures: two online and two at the campus. Lectures are approximately every two weeks starting from the beginning of the course. Most of the workload consists independent work.

Vaccination e-learning 2 ECTS, including two webinars (1,5 hours each), independent learning (47 hours), one skill lab (2 hours) and one contact lesson (2 hours) = Total 54 hours

Assessment is based on the course objectives and national assessment criteria.
