Objective
Object of the course:
The knowledge and skills you get on this course you will need in order to be able to design foundations and retaining walls for different soils.
Tämän opintojakson tietoja ja taitoja tarvitset, jotta pystyt suunnittelemaan perustuksia erilaisille maapohjille sekä tukirakenteita.
Course competences:
- Mathematic and Natural science competence
- Technological competence
The learning objectives of the course:
You know how to dimension and design a rock and ground-based, as well as pile foundation also for eccentric loads, and you can design structures loaded by earth pressure. You know how to determine the settling of the footing. In addition to the basic tasks of the course outlined above, you are able to design the structure for the lift and hydraulic ground rise, and you will be able to determine the load capacity of the pile.
Content
Determination and structural dimensioning of the column and wall footing, load capacity of the pile, Piling plan, Construction and designing of earth pressure structures, Settling calculations.
Location and time
Contact lessons according to Time Table on the Main Campus.
