Objectives
The student recognizes vocational learning objectives based on his/her Personal Learning Plan. The student has the working life and customer service skills of the service fields and he/she has familiarised him-/herself with the company/organisation’s operations. The student can describe and analyse the service and production processes of his/her practical training place. The student becomes more certain about his/her professional direction and is able to set further goals for the development of his/her competence in line with the career plan.

The timing of working in an external organization depends on your studies and personal situations.
Teaching methods
You will receive an information of practical training process during the info sessions, and in addition, you will independently familiarize yourself with the learning objectives and required tasks. You will go through the recruitment process (job-searching, CV, application texts, interview, etc.) and find a practical training placement independently. You will work in external organization with the guidelines of the working place and have a learning diary to assess your own learning process. You will report and evaluate the learning process and create a blog/vlog of your practical training.
You will have an opportunity to have a support of the Practical Training Coordinator, mainly in weekly organized Tutoring Pop-Ups.

Alternative completion methods
If you have strong experience from the tourism and hospitality field that meets the learning goals of the course, you have opportunity to apply for accreditation. Discuss this possibility with your career tutor during your Personal Learning Plan (PLP) discussion. You will receive more information of the accreditation during the info session.
Student workload
The 405 hours are divided into three parts:
- 20 hours for familiarizing yourself with the course and looking for an internship (including info sessions);
- 365 hours of working in an external organization, and;
- 20 hours of reflecting, reporting and evaluating your own learning.
Depending on your previous experience and documents of job-searching, the first part of the course may require you to prepare the application materials.
Content scheduling
The first part is orientation (receiving information and looking for a placement), the main part is working in the organization and have a learning diary, and finally, you will report and assess your learning with the course assignments.

Assessment methods are based on learning objectives.
