Objective
The objective of the course
You are required to gain practical business experience in practical training worth 30 ECTS.
After completion of this course you are able to develop your professional skills and knowledge in professional work environment with real-life problems. You have participated and contributed actively either alone or as a member of a group of students under the guidance of faculty advisor, workplace instructor or assignors. The required knowledge, skills, and methods to implement projects are taught during the first-year studies. We recommend that project ideas relate to the specialisation studies, practical training, or bachelor’s thesis.
You may complete your practical training as employee either in one period or in two periods, thus allowing suitable summer jobs to be included in the degree. Any job to be included in the degree is subject to the approval of the career tutor in advance. You may complete your practical training in Finland or abroad. We suggest that you should combine the contents of your practical training with your chosen specialisation studies and Bachelor’s Thesis.

Content
Will be tailored for each student or student group individually.
Teaching methods
A student is required to gain practical business experience in projects and/or practical training worth 15 ECTS points on top of the Future Factory Project (10 ECTS) and Applied Track Project (5 ECTS).
The projects are defined as the process of learning through the planning and implementation of actual real-life projects involving a group of students and a faculty advisor. The needed tools to run projects are taught during the first-year studies. We recommend that project ideas relate to the specialisation studies, practical training, or Bachelor’s Thesis.
Students may complete their practical training as employees in one period or in two parts, thus allowing suitable summer jobs to be included in the degree. Any job to be included in the degree is subject to the approval of the career tutor in advance. Students may complete their projects and practical training abroad.
We suggest that students combine the content of their projects with their chosen specialisation line studies and Bachelor’s Thesis.
