Objective
The object of the course
After completing this course, you can identify and analyze complex management problems in sport organization and provide solutions to them. You know how to use the skills and knowledge applicable to the process of planning the future of an organization, with a focus on key concepts of strategic planning, strategy formulation, ethical and environmental analysis, strategy implementation and measurement. This course is part of the Sustainable Sport Business Management module.

Sustainable Development Competence: You understand how businesses can contribute to solving sustainability challenges.
Proactive Development Competence: You identify development areas by anticipating the future of your field.
Sport Business Management Competence: You critically review and understand the core concepts of sport business management and gain knowledge and skills in sport management, sport marketing, entrepreneurship, and finance.

Content
The course consist of the following content: Introduction to strategy, specific features of sport, organizational behavior and culture, leadership in sport, industry and competitive analysis, strategic planning in sport organization and three levels of strategy.
Location and time
On-campus days are organised in March from Thursday to Friday. One online Webinar prior to the course.

Teaching methods
The course is an on-campus entity and requires attendance in physical lectures, workshops and other study activities. On-campus studies are organized as an intensive 3-day period.
If a student cannot attend physically on-campus, they should refer to the lecturer in charge to see if it is possible to undertake the course remotely.
The course contains lectures, online webinars, assignments and individual studies. The final course assignment is a strategic management plan, preferably in collaboration with some sport organisation.
