Objective

You understand the characteristics of professional tasks and based on learning at work place, you are able to use your own judgement for decision-making. In addition, you have good command of general working life skills, and you are able to assess and identify your own competences.

Demonstrates awareness of the health, safety and legal issues and responsibilities of the application of technology, the social and environmental impacts of technical solutions, and commitment to professional ethics, responsibility and standards of the application of technology. EUR-ACE: Engineering practice
Ability to choose and use appropriate equipment, tools and methods. Ability to combine theory and practice to solve technical problems. Understanding of applicable techniques and methods and their limitations.

Content

The specific contents of the practical training depend on the work placement. In addition to professional learning, the student gains general working life skills as well as organizational and social skills.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student has completed the practical training in full length and has demonstrated that they understand the essential work tasks of the field and master working life skills. This assessment is based on the practical training tutor's visit at the work placement, discussions with the student, practical training tutor and employer. The student identifies and is able to assess their own professional strengths and targets for development which the student has presented in the practical training documentation.
