Objective

After completing the course, you know the principles and different areas of first-line management and understand their significance in fulfilling the basic mission and leading the customer process. You master the basic legislation related to management. You know theories and approaches related to management and leadership. You understand the significance of self-management in competence development, occupational well-being and the fulfilment of the basic mission. You master the principles of teamwork and the central tasks of a team leader. You understand the utilisation of multi-professional cooperation and competence in teamwork.

Legislation governing first-line management in social services
Occupational well-being and sustainable development
Tasks of a team leader, teamwork and self-management

Completion alternatives

You can apply for admission on the basis of previous equivalent higher education studies (content/objectives/extent), or previous work experience of at least one year (12 months) as an administrative manager. Discuss your competences with your tutor and, if necessary, submit an eApplication form at least two weeks before the start of the course.

In written assignments, you describe the phenomena of the subject matter without substantiating them and use little source material.

You know some principles of first-line management and can name different management theories. You master some legislation related to first-line management and different areas of first-line management. You are able to name some tasks of the team leader as well as recognise the basics of teamwork and the significance of multi-professionalism in teamwork. In written assignments, you describe the phenomena of the subject matter using little source material.
