Objective
The student understands the influence of physical exercise and nutrition on well-being and health. The student knows the most significant factors influencing the public health of Finns and can apply the knowledge in practical work. The student can evaluate the interconnections between physical exercise and nutrition on an individual level. The student can critically analyse trends in nutrition and physical exercise. The student knows the basics of nutrient calculation and can apply calculations to nutritional recommendations.

Nutrition of Finns, use of nutrition, challenges in the public health of Finns, physical exercise and various age groups, well-being of Finns, trends in nutrition and physical exercise

You will master the key concepts of exercise and nutrition and understand their significance for public health. You are able to study at the nutritional quality of your diet and solve nutrition related challenges. You can evaluate the impact of the solutions on well-being. You will identify trends in nutrition and exercise and be able to analyze them critically. You reflect on your own skills and development. You report logically, analytically and expertly.
