Objective
Learning outcome:
You know the principles of corporate environmental management and familiarize yourself with the requirements of environmental management systems and sustainability reporting (ESG reporting). You deepen your expertise in environmental legislation, the EU Emissions Trading System, wastewater treatment, and the circular economy. You are familiar with the principles of carbon footprint calculation and best practices for compensating climate emissions.
Multidisciplinary competence:
You understand ecological, economic and social perspectives related to the field of technology. You are able to follow the development of science and technology in your own field of specialisation and collect and interpret essential information related to your learning assignments.
Knowledge and understanding:
You know the environmental legislation and sustainability reporting requirements related to your field of specialization. You understand the importance of the circular economy in your field of specialization. You know how to calculate the carbon footprint and understand the risks and opportunities of emission compensation.
Research and information retrieval:
You are able to search for and utilize scientific research data and are able to critically evaluate information sources in your own field.

Environmental systems, sustainability reporting, carbon footprint calculation and climate emissions offsetting, environmental legislation, the EU Emissions Trading System, wastewater treatment, and circular economy.

Sufficient (1): You recognize the principles of environmental management in companies as well as the requirements of environmental systems and sustainability reporting. You are familiar with environmental legislation, the EU Emissions Trading System, wastewater treatment, and the circular economy. You can explain the principles of carbon footprint calculation and the best practices for compensating climate emissions.
Satisfactory (2): You can describe the principles of environmental management in companies as well as the requirements of environmental systems and sustainability reporting. You can provide examples of environmental legislation, the EU emissions trading system, wastewater treatment, and the circular economy. You understand the principles of carbon footprint calculation and best practices for compensating greenhouse gas emissions.

Good (3): You are able to present the principles of corporate environmental management as well as the requirements of environmental systems and sustainability reporting.
