Objective

The student will know how to assess and develop his/her competence and professional skill in social and educational operating environments. He/she will be able to act in accordance with ethical principles of social services. The student will know how to assess the service needs of customers in different phases of life and know how to act in a service-oriented capacity. He/she will know how to objectively support and advise different types of customers and customer segments in their daily routines and life situations. The student will be able to use and apply customer service methods.

Content

Supervised exercises in various social counselling environments or early childhood education, particularly in children's day care facilities. More precisely defined exercise content guidelines according to the student's study path.

Materials

Separate exercise guidelines. Recommended study materials supporting course competence goals are listed for the student at personal and group counselling sessions.

Completion alternatives

Supervised exercises: 85%, learning assignments: 15%.

Exercises 284 hours Independent study and learning assignments 40 hours

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

An exercise will be given a passing grade when the student achieves a sufficient level of competence for the competence objective

An exercise will be given a failing grade when the student fails to achieves a sufficient level of competence for the competence objective.

More detailed assessment criteria are listed in the guidelines for the exercise chosen according to the study path.

Student self-assessment.

Qualifications

The student must be familiar with the professional, ethical and social counselling or pedagogical principles of customer service. He/she will know how to apply expressive and functional methods in customer service.
