Objective

The students know the basic network services and the main principles of operation with regard to operating systems. The course introduces Windows/Linux networks and, upon completion of the course, the students are able to configure basic services according to the needs of an organization. They also know the structures, architectures and technological solutions of the server hardware.

Content

User identification, determination of access rights, management of user information, DNS/DHCP/LDAP services. SAN/NAS networks, RAID technologies, different virtualization technologies and server hardware.

Very good 4: The student can design, realize and manage a server system of a small or medium size enterprise.
Good 3: The student knows the special features of server operating systems and he (she) can design a simple server system.
Satisfactory 2: The student knows the special features of server operating systems and he (she) knows the basics of server system design.
Sufficient 1: The student knows and can apply the basic features of server operating systems.
