Objective
The students can create a reciprocal interaction relationship with a client and they understand that is the basis of a occupational therapy process. The students can maintain an empathetic and confidential relationship and they can end it. They can work ethically and in a client-oriented way as well as use the data on client’s individual characteristics in the occupational therapy process. The students can utilize the and apply occupational therapy models and latest professional data in a client’s occupational therapy process.
The students work self directedly, independently and can communicate professionally.

In order to pass this course acceptably:
The student is able to establish a client-oriented and interactive relationship with the client and understands this as the foundation of the occupational therapy process. The student is able to maintain an emphatic and confidential therapy relationship with the client and knows how to end it. He/she is able to work ethically and professionally both in client relationships and in the work community. He/she is capable of independent and versatile acquisition of information and is able to apply his/her knowledge to the occupational therapy process. He/she understands and respects knowledge of the client's individual characteristics. The student is able to apply the occupational therapy model and the knowledge base of his/her field to the client's occupational therapy process. He/she takes initiative and works in an entrepreneurial manner, assuming responsibility for professional tasks assigned to him/her.
In the assessment of written assignments, the assessment criteria for written assignments will apply.
Qualifications
The students have first aid skills. They know the main concepts and job description of an occupational therapist.
Further information
It is possible to pass the course in an environment which supports entrepreneurship. Also international practice is possible.
