Tavoitteet
Student understands the structure of the locomotive system and the implementation of movements. Student can independently assess functions of joints and muscles during movements.
Sisältö
Osteology, arthrology and myology of the following body parts: skull, spine, thorax, upper limb, pelvis, lower limb and their significance for mobility/movements.

Toteutuksen valinnaiset suoritustavat
Two written or oral exams (part one 50% and part two 50%) + active participation in group and individual study.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)
Student can study and analyse the preconditions and limitations of functioning, particularly the client’s locomotion.
Student can apply evidence-based information on an individual basis in the planning of physiotherapy
Student understands the basic structural and functional elements of the human body including:
- Osteology; student learns the names and detailed structures of the bones (also in latin) belonging to following body parts: skull, spine, thorax, upper limb, pelvis and lower limb.
- Arthrology; student understands basic structures and movements of the joints: Upper & lower head joint, jaw, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, pelvis, hip, knee, ankle & foot.
- Myology: Student knows the names, locations & functions of the muscles (also in latin) belonging to following body parts: skull, spine, thorax, upper limb, pelvis and lower limb.
Esitietovaatimukset
Basics of anatomy & physiology – Students have a basic knowledge of the structure and function of the Human body as well as basic terminology. Students are able to find information and use various sources of anatomy & physiology.
