Objective
Course Purpose:
In this course, you will explore equality and accessible, inclusive teaching and assessment. You will learn about different learning challenges and their impact on student identity and learning. You will learn to plan and implement teaching according to the principles of inclusive pedagogy and culturally and linguistically responsive teaching. You will learn to recognize and utilize different learning styles and approaches, and to offer diverse learning opportunities for diverse learners. You will also reflect on how to demonstrate and assess competence from the perspective of diverse learners.

- You are familiar with the most common factors that challenge learning and participation and understand their impact on learning.
- You understand the concepts of diversity, participation, equality, and accessible and inclusive teaching and assessment.

- You are familiar with the principles of language-aware teaching.

Toteutustavat:
Kaikilla ryhmillä sama malli, esim. yksi ohjauspäivä/webinaareja ja itsenäistä verkkotyöskentelyä
o useammalle ryhmälle yhteinen ohjauspäivä/webinaarit vai
o joka ryhmällä oma ohjauspäivä/webinaarit
o Ryhmän kouluttajat lukevat ja arvioivat tehtävät.
Aloitus tammikuussa ja ohjauspäivillä erkkakouluttaja mukana. Yhdessä ryhmän kouluttajien kanssa suunnitellaan ohjauspäivän sisältö ja toteutus.
Toteutus keväällä, kun on jo vähän pohjaa muusta.

- You understand the importance of a safe, encouraging, and well-being-promoting learning environment for every learner and can promote it in your practice.
- You identify factors in teaching that promote student agency and study ability.
- You are able to collaborate with special education teachers when necessary to support learning goals.
