First meeting with the study group March 2022.

Learning diary activities;
- expectations for learning March-April 2022
- Summer School seminar week 11-15 May 2022
- reflections of learning and returning learning diary by the end of May 2022.

Intensive study week takes place in Madrid, Spain.
Time of the seminar week is 11 May - 15 May 2022 but note also that students should book Tuesday 10 May and Monday 16 May for traveling.

Tavoitteet

The aim of this study abroad is to give an overview of international sport marketing aspects, e.g. in the field of fan behavior, value creation for customers, sponsorship and sports and media.
The other aim for students of this study abroad is to build an international network among other sport business students and academics.

Oppimateriaalit

Literature and materials provided annually by seminar organizer.

Opetusmenetelmät

Combined face-to-face, problem based and distance learning in an multicultural environment.

Student participates to Summer School intensive seminar week study activities including lectures, problem based group working, visits to local sport business organizations and course exam.

Distance learning includes student's expectations and reflection of learning and networking before, during and after the seminar week. Expectations and reflection of learning is documented to learning diary.

Tenttien ajankohdat ja uusintamahdollisuudet

Exam takes place during the seminar week. No possibility for retake.

Kansainvälisyys

EASM Summer School is in an international study week and working together with students from across the world is crucial part of the studies.
During Summer School students collaborate with peers working on a practical development case study.

Preparations for seminar week 30 hours (pre-readings and study materials)
Seminar week 50 hours

In total 135 hours = 5 ECTS

Arviointikriteeri, hyväksytty/hylätty

Pass of the written exam at the last day of the EASM Summer School, evaluated by the organiser.
Participation in the student group presentation and activities during the summer school.
Learning diary reflecting learning outcomes.

Esitietovaatimukset

Sport management studies at JAMK.

Lisätiedot

Evaluations scale is Pass / Fail.
Course is completed and passed when a student has successfully completed the exam and returned his/her comprehensive learning diary according to instructions.
