Objective

In this course, you will learn how to assist and instruct a person in need of support in different physical activity environments and learn how to apply exercise..

You are able to meet different people in physical activity situations and you are able to assistant a person in need of support in physical activity. You know the service of applied physical activity. You are able to plan and instruct physical activity for people in need of support, and are familiar with physical assistive devices and forms of support

Content

Meeting a person in need of support and his / her family. Applied sports activities and services. Assisting in applied physical activity. Principles of planning applied physical activity. Educational communication and interaction in applied physical activity. Clarifying the learning environment, utilizing tools. Methods of teaching and instructing applied physical activity and differentiating teaching. Physical assistive devices and forms of support. Supporting to join a physical activity hobby for a child or young adult in need of support.

Teaching methods

In this course, you study the theory and practical exercises of adapted physical education. You participate adapted physical activities as assistant or instructor and help a child to participate physical activities
