Intensive program in Finland Jyväskylä 16.-20.3.2026
Content
Our aim is to increase participants' awareness and knowledge about global health and social issues, as well as the role of community members, healthcare and social professionals, and other relevant stakeholders in finding innovative solutions through an interdisciplinary approach, in line with the Health in All Policies framework.
This BIP will explore the various global health issues and their local, regional and global impacts. It will also examine the strategies used to address these issues and the various approaches to developing sustainable solutions. We will look at a range of global health issues for example the impact and challenge of demographic change and migration, diversity contests and cultural impacts, the access to healthcare, the role of digitalization and how it can help to achieve SDG goals. We talk about mental health, non-communicable diseases, the economic impact, and how climate change influences global health.
We also want to encourage a critical reflection of values regarding history and the future. We will discuss the roles that different stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental organisations and the private sector, have in tackling these issues. Participants will also develop their knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals and the role they play in promoting global health. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a deeper understanding of the complexities of global health and the importance of collaboration and innovation in finding solutions.
