Objective

The student masters the essential 3D modeling commands in AutoCAD and is able to navigate within a 3D model. They understand the principles of 3D modeling and can apply their skills to practical tasks, such as preparing a model for client review or for 3D printing. In addition, the course provides a foundation for broader use of AutoDESK software across various industries.

The student understands AutoCAD’s role as part of the AutoDESK ecosystem and is able to begin using applications such as Revit, Plant 3D, Civil 3D, and MEP.

Content

Basic 3D modeling commands and navigation within the model. Saving in different file formats.

Materials

The study material has been published on the Moodle learning platform, where you can find video materials in Finnish.

Teaching methods

The course is studied independently. The use of the program and the learning assignments are instructed by videos. Learning assignments are returned to the learning platform.

Student workload

Independent work 27 hours.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Learning assignments. An approved grade requires assignments done correctly in accordance with the instructions.
