Objective

Knowledge and Understanding
The student knows the benefits of attaching all product information directly to 3D models, recognizing how this approach improves error management and reduces documentation maintenance by eliminating the need for 2D drawings.

Engineering practice
The student is able to model components in three dimensions and incorporate essential product information into the 3D model, including dimensions, tolerances, surface symbols, and material data.

Multidisciplinary Competence:
Students are able to attach images and technical documents to their assignments and theses. They know how to use the 3D PDF data exchange format.

Content

Attaching dimensions, tolerances, surface marks and material information to the 3D model.

Course handouts and videos

Teaching methods

Toteutuksella opiskellaan itsenäisesti. Ohjelman käyttö ja harjoitustehtävien tekeminen ohjataan videoilla. Harjoitustehtävät palautetaan oppimisalustalle.

Completion alternatives

Handing in assignments.

Student workload

Independent work 54 hours.
