Tavoitteet
The students understand the basics of usability and ergonomics and are able to take into consideration the user's physical and mental qualities in designing the work environment, tasks, methods, and products. They can apply their knowledge and skills to design work.
EA-ER EUR-ACE Engineering practice: The students are able to use appropriate methods for ergonomical and usable systems in a product development process.
TKNTU Competence in machine safety: The students know the requirements of machine directives pertaining to design and can design equipment and structures that are ergonomical, safe and easy to use.
YHTYR Entrepreneurship skills: The students have the ability to look for ergonomical, safe, customer-friendly, sustainable and economically-viable solutions in product development.
YHTVI Communication skills: The students are able to communicate in usability and ergonomics development well, both orally and in writing in their mother tongue and know how to use communications technology in usability and ergonomics development projects. The students are able to work in usability networks.

Very good (4): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to usability and ergonomics development tasks.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills and can apply them to usability and ergonomics development tasks:
- can explain the significance of the usability and ergonomics process among the other activities in a company
- is familiar with different types of usability and ergonomics processes and can describe their progress
- is familiar with the basic usability and ergonomics tools and can implement them in projects
Satisfactory (2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology but can only satisfactorily apply them to usability and ergonomics development tasks.
Adequate (1): The student identifies the basic knowledge and terminology but can only sufficiently apply them to simple usability and ergonomics development tasks.
