Objective

The students know the basics of business management and leadership, the production output related to the goods production in a company, different production methods and their constituents, their suitability in different situations and also the strategic development process and in the service production the nature of the services, service strategies, their development process and basics of the service production management.

Content

Business processes, basics of the management and leadership. Production targets, production methods, their constituents and the model for developing production in an individual enterprise or network. Services, service strategy, service development, managing capacity and demand, managing waiting times, queue models and capacity planning.

The grade is composed of the exam (80%), assignments and work in class (20%).

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to practice.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills:
- can make justified proposals to develop individual production and service systems.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the most important concepts and terminology of the management, leadership, goods and services production.

Assessment is based on the exam and assignments.
