Objective

Production systems the course gives an overall picture of the development of the company's production to be more competitive. You will learn to plan satisfactorily the different aspects of the company's production activities so that you take the whole into account. The development of your expertise continues by learning the tool for analyze production activities and then by studying production layout design and studying the simulation tool of the production system, as well as by carrying out investment calculations to support decision-making. After completing the course, you will be able to develop production activities comprehensively towards better competitiveness.

Engineering practice:
You are able to develop complex production systems to meet economic and technical requirements.

Investigation and information retrieval:
You are able to perform simulations and analyses for detailed examination and research of technical problems.

Multidisciplinary competences:
You have an awareness of economic and management aspects in the industrial business context.

Methodical production plant design, simulation of production systems, product engineer economics.

Qualifications

The students have a general view of the production of manufacturing industry. You are more familiar with the company's production strategy process, development tools (Production paradigm) and the construction of a comprehensive performance measurement system.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The overall assessment consists of 50% of the exam and 50% of the training and laboratory work.
The exams are arranged three times in accordance with the degree rules.

Adequate (1): You are able to identify the basics and terminology of general merchandise production, but you have significant shortcomings in perceiving the interconnection of things.

Satisfactory (2): You are familiar with the basics and terminology of general merchandise production, but you have shortcomings in perceiving the interconnection of key issues.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3): You master the key issues of the course:
- you are familiar with the key concepts and methods of general cargo production
- you are able to use development methods to solve the problems of general cargo production or to develop your operations satisfactorily.

Very good (4): You master key concepts and methods of general merchandise production and are able to apply them critically in solving and developing the problems of general cargo production, e.g. in the case of general cargo production. exercises and exercises.

Teaching methods

Luennot, tiedonhaku ja soveltavat oppimistehtävät. Ongelmalähtöisen oppimisen kautta opiskelijoilla on oppimistehtäviä ratkottavana. Tehtäviä tehdään pääosin ryhmissä. Opintojaksosta kerätään sen puolivälissä vapaamuotoinen anonyymi palaute.

Kirjallinen tentti opintojakson lopuksi. Sen jälkeen kaksi uusintatenttiä.
