Objective

During the "Entrepreneur's Path" course module, you will learn to develop a profitable business from a business idea. You'll gain tools to develop your own or a team business's operations in a customer-oriented, sustainable, and effective manner, applying the latest theories in business development and management in practice.

Skills developed include learning to identify your strengths and areas for improvement as an entrepreneur and business owner, building a development plan for your entrepreneurship, understanding how to transform an idea into a viable business, developing entrepreneurship according to market and customer needs while considering future changes, and building ethical principles and a sustainable value base for your business. You'll understand sustainable business practices, communicate and report on sustainability issues, explore future development directions, and develop business anticipatively and reactively, making bold experiments to test ideas in practice.

The objective is to develop a functioning business from an idea, understanding strategic planning and management of a company, recognizing the importance of customer-oriented development in business growth, and deepening profitable business execution with financial management skills. You'll work on development in practice within your own business or a team business, share your entrepreneurship expertise within the team, and reflect on your entrepreneurship skills through writing and team dialogue, taking responsibility for your learning and actions.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

You have sufficient evidence of understanding the theory related to the competency area and are able to apply the theory in practice in the projects and operations of the team enterprise. You understand the significance of different roles in the development of the company and develop the team enterprise in cooperation with others. You are able to create clear plans and set realistic goals from both an operational and skill development perspective. You have set concrete goals for the development of your competency area and have demonstrated the ability to direct your actions according to these goals.

You have implemented projects that reflect the application of competency area theory into practice. The projects demonstrate your ability to apply what you have learned and bring theoretical knowledge into practical action as part of a team. Additionally, you are able to evaluate the achievement of your goals and your learning process through reflections, identifying both your strengths and areas for improvement.
