CONTENT:
Assessment of the functioning of a client with a neurological condition and the extensive scope of rehabilitation. The opportunities of physiotherapy to exert influence on neurological and cognitive symptoms resulting from nervous system disorders and changes in psychomotorics, such as muscle tone, coordination, attention, perception and communication disorders. Special features of physiotherapy for paediatric and adult clients with a neurological condition. (Preterm born children, CP and attention deficit disorders, ADHD, developmental coordination disorders, children with MMC, muscular diseases and autism. Cerebrovascular disorders, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, MS and spinal cord injury patients as well as patients with neuropathy and peripheral nerve injury)

The course includes an orientative clinical neuropsychology exam, learning tasks and/or an alternative written exam, the schedule and materials of which are available in the moodle workspace.

The recognition of prior learning is not possible as a whole course. If the student has previous higher education level studies related to the topic, the recognition of the units can be discussed with the career tutor.
