Description
The information network technology orientation of JAMK's Information and Communication Technology degree program offers students a comprehensive perspective on the design, implementation and management of modern information networks. Orientation courses focus on essential areas of network expertise and prepare students to meet the challenges that the modern information network environment offers. The "Automation of networks" and "Local Area Networks" courses provide in-depth information on the design and management of local area networks, while "Backbone Networks" and "Connection Networks" deal with larger-scale network solutions and their interconnection. The "Information network project" gives students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in practical projects, practicing project management and cooperation skills in the implementation of networks. Courses such as "Data center infrastructure techniques," "Server and container virtualization," and "Data center and service management" deepen students' knowledge of data center network infrastructure and virtualization. The "Cloud architectures and platforms" and "Automation and orchestration" courses prepare students for the management of cloud environments and network automation, which is a key part of modern information network management. The "Computer Networks" course complements the orientation by providing an in-depth understanding of the design and management of data center networks, taking into account the critical role these networks play in modern information technology. The information network technology orientation at JAMK equips students with versatile skills that are necessary to meet the requirements of a modern information network environment. Whether it's local area networks, backbone networks, data center networks or cloud environments, students get comprehensive training in planning and managing information networks.
