Objective

During the course module, you'll learn about conducting international projects and their unique characteristics. You'll develop skills in multicultural communication and teamwork, applying theoretical knowledge in international collaboration and projects.

Skills include:

Ethics: Understanding and responsibly acting on ethical considerations in international projects, recognizing and valuing cultural differences in decision-making.
Sustainable Development: Integrating sustainable development principles into the planning and execution of international projects, promoting sustainable and ethical practices.
Internationality and Multiculturality: Communicating and interacting within international teams and projects, working with diverse individuals, and gaining the ability to present and use a foreign language in professional work.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completing the module, you'll effectively and sustainably work in international projects, understand the impact of different cultures on project success and teamwork, learn professional terminology, gain confidence in presenting and communicating in foreign languages, and strengthen your ability to operate in an international and multicultural work environment. You'll share your expertise within the team and reflect on your international competence through writing and dialogue, taking responsibility for your own learning and actions.

Basics of international projects: Cultural significance, global markets, and business environments.
Project management methods and tools in an international context.
Leading a multicultural team: Communication, motivation, and conflict resolution.
Risk management and quality assurance in international projects.
Analysis of international projects, their successes, and challenges

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

You have sufficient evidence of understanding the theory related to the competency area and are able to apply the theory in practice in the projects and operations of the team enterprise. You understand the significance of different roles in the development of the company and develop the team enterprise in cooperation with others. You are able to create clear plans and set realistic goals from both an operational and skill development perspective. You have set concrete goals for the development of your competency area and have demonstrated the ability to direct your actions according to these goals.

You have implemented projects that reflect the application of competency area theory into practice. The projects demonstrate your ability to apply what you have learned and bring theoretical knowledge into practical action as part of a team. Additionally, you are able to evaluate the achievement of your goals and your learning process through reflections, identifying both your strengths and areas for improvement.
