Objective

The object of the course
During the course, you will learn how to guide organizations and people to act effectively in accordance with strategy.

Course competences
Business competence: The student has a broad-based understanding of business (marketing, services, management, finances, law, ect.).
The student is able to utilize knowledge-driven leadership to support decision-making.
Learning to learn: The student also takes responsibility for the group learning and sharing what has been learned.
Proactive development: The student is able to apply existing knowledge in the field in development and utilises research and development methods.
Sustainable development: The student is able to use information related to their field in finding, implementing and establishing sustainable solutions and operating models.

You understand performance management as a whole (organisation, team, individual level) from the perspectives of different industries and sustainable development. You know the most common methods used in measuring performance and the key principles of knowledge management. You understand the systemic effects of performance management. You also take responsibility for group learning and sharing what has been learnt.

You are familiar with the factors that affect organisational performance and understand their significance to practical leadership. You understand performance management as a whole. You understand the significance of metrics in performance management and principles of knowledge management. You are familiar with systemic effects of performance management and you are able to apply those points of views in your work tasks. You share your learning outcomes with your group.
