Objective

You know the basics of piping design and can design a piping system based on the PI diagram and LAY-out. After completing the course, you will know the basics of 3D piping design.

Knowledge and understanding: After completing the course, you will understand the possibilities and benefits of 3D piping design for industrial process piping. You will be able to do layout design, equipment selection and their dimension drawings, plant steel structures and use them in piping design and piping support.

Applying engineering to practice: You will get the basic knowledge on the course, which will enable you to start piping design as a junior designer in industrial projects

Content

Basics of industrial process piping design. The examples come from power plant, industrial and heat distribution pipelines.
Supporting pipelines and connecting them to other structures.
The course emphasizes the importance of sustainable development in factory design and utilizes digital solutions.

Qualifications

Technical drawing and CAD, process design, pressure equipment design and basic knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The student completes the assigned tasks and returns them according to the agreed schedule.
