Objective

Purpose of the course:
This course provides the knowledge and skills you need to produce computer-aided construction plans in accordance with the building regulations and to cooperate with the various bodies and authorities in the construction sector.

Course competences:
Communication and teamwork: the ability to work effectively with engineers and other professional groups.
Interdisciplinary skills: Ability to interpret relevant information and manage issues in support of decisions involving consideration of relevant social and ethical issues.
Application of technology to practice: The ability to apply technical standards and established guidelines for professional practice in one's field.

Course objective:
To be able to explain the key principles of planning and building permit procedures in building legislation. You will be able to produce, with computer assistance, the main drawings and permit documents for a standard building project. You will be able to design a dwelling as a functional unit within a planned environment. In addition to the basic coursework outlined above, you will understand construction in a historical perspective and as part of the wider built environment.

Content

Maps and plan markings, building design and design process, drawing markings, building permit documents and permit process, information model.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the fundamentals of building construction techniques in terms of structures and materials.
Competences of the course CAD - Computer modelling in the field of construction drawings and computer modelling.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Intermediate (1): the student knows and recognises the issues described in the course objectives and is able to perform the tasks described in the course objectives.

Satisfactory (2): The student knows, identifies and understands the issues described in the learning outcomes of the course. The student will demonstrate competence by applying the topics covered in the course.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3): the student has achieved the learning objectives of the course and is able to demonstrate his/her knowledge in a clear and understandable way. They are able to articulate what they have learned in a clear and comprehensible way and to apply it systematically.

Excellent (4). The student is able to describe the effects of different solutions and to make reasoned choices between alternatives.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): the student has achieved the learning objectives of the course with excellent results. In addition, the student is able to examine the topics of the course theoretically and apply them critically in practice. Competence is demonstrated in a coherent and multidimensional manner.
