Objective
Main objectives for this course are acquiring knowledge in fundamentals of robotics as well as application and hardware solutions and also in robot safety issues and solutions. Studying in this course require knowledge in fundamentals of technology. This course enables further studies of the subject in other courses.
EUR-ACE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Student is familiar with basic robotics hardware solutions and programming environments in different fields of applications. Student identifies the key risks of a robotics application and understands how to prepare for them. Student is able to do risk assessment using simple working methods and relate to machine safety issues seriously.
Content
In this course, you will explore the concepts of robotics, application and hardware solutions, as well as safety issues and safety solutions. The course requires basic knowledge in the field of technology and enables more in-depth study of the subject in future courses. You will learn about basic hardware solutions and programming environments in various application areas of robotics, identify key risks in robotic applications, and understand how to mitigate them. You will be able to conduct risk assessments using simple methods and take machine safety issues seriously.
