Purpose of the course

After attending this course, you will be able to safely treat a perioperative patient at different stages of the treatment path.

You support and guide the perioperative patient and his family to recognize their own strengths.

You know how to document as required by legislation.

You recognize the most common treatment deviations and dangerous situations.

You know how to use the most important treatment technology devices in a controlled manner, as well as take advantage of the opportunities brought by technology and digitalization in your own work.

You know how to use evidence-based information about sustainable solutions and operating models in perioperative patient care.

Professional skills-promoting training in perioperative nursing units in accordance with the goals mentioned above.

Qualifications

Perioperative nursing theory and key clinical skills.
The multidisciplinary knowledge base of nursing. Successful completion of medical calculation.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The internship is evaluated on a pass/fail scale

You apply the key clinical methods of perioperative nursing, taking into account patient safety.

You implement perioperative patient guidance at different stages of the treatment path.

You know how to observe and treat the patient in different phases of the treatment in a guided manner.

You demonstrate that you have mastered the documentation of perioperative patient care.

You understand the principles of sustainable development in your own operations.
