The students

The students
- are able to apply different guidance and teaching methods (manual, verbal, visual, digital) in a goal-oriented manner to maintain and promote the functional capacity and health of individuals, groups, communities and the society
- know how to apply the principles of motor learning/guidance when instructing clients/groups with the aim of promoting their mobility and functional capacity in their living environment
- know how to apply the methods of therapeutic exercise in their guidance work
- can safely plan and instruct physical activities that promote health and functional capacity
- can plan and provide guidance on ergonomic methods for adapting work and operating environments to suit individual needs and characteristics
- can support clients in achieving the goals set together by means of evidence-based guidance
- understand the principles of health promotion and can use their guidance competence to carry out work that promotes public health.

The students
- are able to utilise technology in the assessment and rehabilitation of clients' mobility and functional capacity, in the related guidance and counselling, as well as in physical therapy
- are able to utilise virtual environments and robotics to support mobility, functional capacity and physical activity
- are able to utilise assistive technology to support clients' physical activity and functional capacity
- can work with clients to assess the functionality of the environment in relation to each client’s resources and objectives
- can design accessible environments and promote equality and non-discrimination through multidisciplinary cooperation.

The students
- can apply evidence-based information individually when planning a client’s physiotherapy
- know how to work in a way that supports of the customer's participation and create a reciprocal therapeutic relationship
- can plan and implement progressive therapeutic exercises, drawing on the knowledge of pathophysiology, stress physiology and neurophysiology as well as biomechanics and the principles of motor learning
- know how to use physical therapy methods, making use of their physiological and therapeutic effects as part of the overall rehabilitation
- know how to implement manual therapy appropriately.

The students
- are able to examine and analyse the prerequisites and limitations of functional capacity, especially the client's mobility
- can assess the functionality of the environment in relation to the available resources and the relevant operational objectives
- can systematically record observations that are relevant for the client's functional capacity, resources, limitations and operating environment, following the national regulations and the organisation's own instructions
- can determine the assessment results and the related interpretations in an appropriate and reliable manner, considering the customer's resources and expectations
- can also consider the preventive perspective in functionality assessments as part of the clients' well-being
- know how to use assessments and clinical reasoning to draw up a physiotherapy plan as part of a broader rehabilitation plan together with the customer and with consideration for the customer's needs
- are able to assess and monitor the impact and cost-effectiveness of physiotherapy.

The students
- are familiar with and understand the strategies and theories of promoting well-being and health, as well as the related key concepts and priorities, from the perspective of public health and reducing health inequalities
- understand the concepts of agency, participation and counselling, as well as the ICF framework as an indicator of functional capacity and participation
- understand the stages of client and service processes and the principles of documentation in the rehabilitation, social welfare and health care sector, and know the starting points and principles of counselling
- are familiar with the basics of assessing the client’s functional capacity, participation and rehabilitation and service needs, and can search for evidence-based assessment methods.

The students
- are familiar with digital and technological services and operating environments in supporting the clients' agency, participation, functional capacity and accessibility
- are familiar with the starting points and principles of both remote and face-to-face rehabilitation, and can apply digital and technological solutions in remote and face-to-face rehabilitation
- are able to use digital software and tools as well as technological solutions in client work and counselling
- are able to assess the feasibility of digital services and technological solutions and participate in their development.

The students
- are familiar with the knowledge base and key phenomena of the social welfare, health care and rehabilitation sector, and are able to apply theoretical knowledge produced by different disciplines in their own field
- know the key starting points and principles of conducting scientific research and generating data
- are familiar with and can analyse different operating environments in the social welfare, health care and rehabilitation sector
- can, based on research and evidence, assess and develop the promotion of agency, participation and functional capacity in varying operating environments
- understand the basics of effectiveness and evidence-based work
- are capable of creative problem-solving and the development of working methods with their community
- are able to produce high-quality services that are meaningful and effective for the client in a cost-effective manner
- can act in multicultural environments and work globally in their own field.

The graduating student adheres to the ethical principles and values of their field of profession, taking the principles of equality and non-discrimination into account.
