Objective

The demographic changes in the multicultural world and technological development challenge healthcare professionals to develop their competences in meeting diverse clients, learners, as well as colleagues. International exchange experiences enhance learners’ awareness of cultural differences and make it possible to compare healthcare systems and practices. International exchange also has a positive effect on personal development and provides experiences that cannot be gained in a classroom.

Content

• Students are introduced to the meaning of multiculturalism by learning from each other.
• Students will gain an understanding of the differences in healthcare systems in different countries.
• Students will understand issues related to health in different age groups.
• Students improve their language and cultural skills.
• Students and faculty members have a possibility to network during the Summer Campus and in future studies after the Campus.
