Objective
The aim of the course is familiarising you with the tasks of a Bachelor of Social Services, client work in the social services and education sector and the service system.

You know how to act professionally and constructively in communication and interactive situations in working life as well as promote your and the work community's well-being. You are able to support the growth, development, and everyday life of individuals, groups and communities in a goal-oriented manner in different life situations.
You follow the values and principles of professional ethics in the social services sector. You understand cultural diversity and show sensitivity in interactive situations.
You recognise and comply with key legislation in the field as well as the curricula/plans that guide the work. You are familiar with social, health and education services of the wellbeing services counties and municipalities as well as the private and third sectors.
Content
Practical training in a social services/early childhood education and care operating environment.
The core content of the course includes professional interaction, the tasks, values and ethical principles of a Bachelor of Social Services, as well as the social and education services system and its services. You will also get to know clients and their service processes as well as practise supporting clients in a goal-oriented manner.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the healthcare and social services system and legislation as well as the ethical principles of the field.

You are able to describe the values and ethical principles of the field and comply with them during your practical training. You are able to name acts that guide the work and observe them during your practical training. You are able to describe clients’ service processes and describe provision of goal-oriented support for clients. You are able to act sensitively and follow the principles of professional interaction in interactive situations, both in client work and the work community.

Time and location
Indicative timing 14.4-18.5.25. The total number of hours to be spent in the traineeship is 124h. The remaining 11 h are reserved for the completion of assignments.
Teaching methods
Professional training in a social and/or educational field and a training report. The course also includes a reflectionwebinar. As a rule, you will be responsible for finding a placement independently.
Exam dates and retake possibilities
The traineeship report must be returned within two weeks of the end of the traineeship.
