Objective

The student can:
•practice safe basic nursing interventions
•monitor vital functions and have basic understanding of the results
•apply basic aseptic techniques to nursing practice
•safely assess and promote the health and functional ability of a patient/client under supervision.
•recognize the needs for nursing care and respond to them safely utilizing evidence-based nursing interventions
•implement basic safe medication administration under supervision
•operate according to the values and principles of patient/client-oriented nursing
•understands customer-friendly, sustainable and economically-viable solutions in primary healthcare
•is able to act responsibly and professionally according to the values and principles of patient/client-oriented nursing

.Simulation exercises in basic nursing interventions
•basics of administration of medication
•professional practice in primary health care
•organization and provision of healthcare services for older people
•patient/client-oriented nursing

Qualifications

Simulation exercises must be passed before practical training

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass (S); The student:
•recognizes and responds to the customer's/patient's basic daily needs through the means of client oriented nursing practice
•demonstrates competence in basic nursing procedures
.is able to monitor and maintaining vital functions and applies the basics of aseptic techniques and ergonomics in practical nursing
•encounters different customers/patients professionally
•implements medical treatment safely under guidance and is able to analyze the challenges of his/her development.
•demonstrates customer-friendly, sustainable and economically-viable solutions in primary healthcare

Fail (0); The student:
•has inadequate knowledge of the basic needs of the patient/customer and the relevant methods of assistance.
•is unable to apply his/her knowledge of nursing practice to various nursing situations and different patients/customers.
•neglects the safety of the customer/patient (e.g. aseptic techniques, confidentiality)
•behavior is unprofessional (language, clothing, intoxicants).
