Objective
The student understands the significance of occupational safety and knows the occupational safety risks regarding machines, production animals and forest work within the field of agriculture. The student understands the occupational safety factors of physical manual labour. The student understands the occupational safety factors regarding chemicals. The student is familiar with the operational safety bulletin and its significance. The student is familiar with occupational safety and health and knows the essential parts of the occupational safety and health act from the point of view of the employer, regarding both paid work force as well as voluntary work force. The student also is familiar with the statutes of occupational safety and health related to the employee and understands that the employee has the right to turn down dangerous tasks. The student is familiar with the essential protective gear. The student is familiar with occupational health care and the significance of work-related well-being.

Workplace¿s occupational safety and health (employer/employee). Work orientation. The concepts and responsibilities of buyer/supplier. The occupational safety and health act. Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
"1 (adequate) The student knows the basics of occupational safety and health mentioned in the occupational safety and health act. The student understands occupational safety and health factors.
2 (satisfactory) Along with aforementioned, the student is familiar with and acts according to occupational safety and health regulations. The student understands the significance of work-related wellbeing.
3 (good) Along with aforementioned, the student is capable of working in a safe way with machines as well as productions animals and at forest work sites.
4 (very good) Along with aforementioned, the student understands the significance of work orientation from the point of view of both the employee as well as the employer. The student understands the employee¿s as well as the employer¿s responsibilities regarding occupational safety. The student knows responsibilities of both buyers and suppliers.
5 (excellent) Along with aforementioned, the student is able to apply the occupational safety and health act as well as occupational safety and health regulations from the point of view of the employer. The student is able to use occupational health care services both as an employer as well as an employee.
