Objective

The student masters the basic concepts, structure and operational principle of embedded systems. The student is able to design and implement an embedded system and understands the principles of sensor signal scaling to the CPU interface.

Content

The course contains
• Building or preparing a device with sensors, camera, mechanics, control unit, antenna, display and other parts
• The objective is to build a platform that is programmed and further developed in the Internet of Things TTOW3Z course.

The student must have basic knowledge of Programming, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Embedded Programming

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The project outcomes are tested comprehensively and they all work according to the specification. The project is documented well.

Very good 4: The student masters all the tasks mentioned previously at Good 3, Satisfactory 2 and Sufficient 1 levels, and is able to develop both the software and hardware process of the product.

Good 3: The student masters the theory on embedded systems and is able to analyze existing solutions in a versatile manner. The student is able to design an embedded system and understand the platform requirements. The student is able to deploy the system.

Satisfactory 2: The student masters the theory on embedded systems and is able to analyze and add features to existing solutions. The student is able to design an embedded system based on given requirement specification.

Sufficient 1: The student understands the theory on embedded systems and is able to analyze existing solutions inadequately. The student is able to design an embedded system based on given requirement specification.

Fail 0: The student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course.
