Objective

The students know the properties and significance of microbes for nature and man. They understand the principle of aseptic work and can apply it to practice. They master the basic methods of microbiology and can cultivate and identify microbes in different test samples. They can work aseptically, sterilize, microscopize, and prepare culture media. They know the qualitative and quantitative cultivation methods of microbes.

Content

Groups of microbes; their structure, properties, harmfulness, usefulness, and utilization. Microbiological laboratory work methods; aerobic, anaerobic, qualitative and quantitative cultivation techniques. Biochemical identification methods.
