Evidence-based nursing (5cr)

Objective

I can explain the model of evidence-based practice in social and health care. I am able to identify and assess essential information needs related to social and health care, its education, or leadership at both national and international levels. I can search for up-to-date, reliable, and synthesized nursing science information and evaluate its quality. I am able to plan an evidence summary based on a systematic review. I use innovative and digital methods to disseminate evidence in professional practice. I evaluate the development of expertise and continuous learning.

The student distinguishes or names the phases of the EBN (evidence-based nursing) model using national sources.
The student distinguishes or identifies a national or international systematic review.
The student reports or names the criteria for critical appraisal of synthesized evidence using national sources.
The student finds a national or international systematic review.
The student presents or reports an evidence summary (tip) using national sources.
The student identifies or reports the dissemination of evidence and uses appropriate/digital methods.
The group identifies or explains what they have learned in accordance with the learning objectives.
The group explains or describes the group’s working process.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3–4)

1. The student is able to apply or analyze the phases of the EBN (evidence-based nursing) model in a versatile way using national and international sources (e.g., by producing examples).
2. The student is able to present and analyze key information needs nationally and internationally in a versatile way using national and international sources.
3. The student is able to select or analyze an international systematic review in a versatile way.
4. The student is able to present or analyze the criteria for critical appraisal of synthesized evidence in a versatile way using national and international sources.
5. The student justifies or analyzes an evidence summary (tip) in a versatile way using national and international sources.
6. The student presents or analyzes the dissemination of evidence in a versatile way, using innovative/digital methods.
