    Learning outcomes of the course
    Upon the completion of the course a student is able to
    - interpret and analyze complex business issues related to entertainment and sport business, artist management and athlete management from multiple perspectives and critically review academic literature and other relevant information sources
    - work effectively within a multicultural team environment demonstrating teambuilding and intercultural communication skills.
    Prerequisites and co-requisites
    Compulsory first year business studies.
    Course contents
    The course offers essential knowledge of the nature and different forms of managerial activities.The student is able to apply different tools in legal, marketing, fundraising and financial functions required sport and entertainment business.
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
    Sufficient (1)
    Intellectual skills: The student partly recognizes the core concepts and methods of Sport Management.
    Practical skills: The student has some knowledge needed to work in field and needs guidance in his/her work. The student participates in group work.

    Satisfactory(2)
    Intellectual Skills: Student demonstrates fairly week attempt in finding, selecting and evaluating reference literature and utilises those superficially.
    Practical Skills: The student is able to operate within a multicultural team environment but lacks motivation in team-building and remain
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    Good (3)
    Intellectual Skills: Student demonstrates activity in finding, selecting and evaluating reference literature and utilizes those findings in fairly logical way.
    Practical Skills: The student is able to operate fairly smoothly within a multicultural team environment and is able to work well in a team. The student has good intercultural communication skills with only some minor deficiencies.

    Very good (4)
    Intellectual Skills: Student shows very good ability in finding, selecting and evaluating reference literature and utilizes those findings relatively well in interpreting and justifying business issues.
    Practical Skills: The student is able to operate smoothly within a multicultural team environment and has very good team-building skills and very good intercultural communication skills.

    Excellent (5)
    Intellectual Skills: Student shows excellent ability in finding, selecting and evaluating reference literature and in utilising those findings in interpreting and justifying business issues from multiple perspectives.
    Practical Skills: The student is able to operate effectively within a multicultural team environment demonstrating strong team-building and intercultural communication skills.

    Planned learning activities, teaching methods and guidance

    This module will start out with lectures to introduce the reality faced by the professional managers. Seminars will be concentrating on research in groups and it will be required leading to a case study with a presentation.
